DONATION FOR BLUEBERRY BUSHES
Call I-GO-CPRC (803-446-2772).

COMPOST PICK UP
Rosewood Market is allowing us to make daily pick ups of vegetable scraps from the deli. We need more picker upers to take a day or two and swing by Rosewood Market between 5:30 and 6:30 pm to take scraps to the compost bin behind the Ben Arnold Center. Contact Billy.

GETTING THE WORD OUT English Flyer; Spanish Flyer
Post flyers within biking distance of the gardens to let people know they can take up this opportunity to work together to build local resources, grow food, and community! Encourage others to start projects in their own neighborhoods.

Make a donation towards purchasing blueberry bushes for a long-term contribution to community resources. ($20 will purchase one large blueberry bush). (THANK YOU Kate, Russell, & Dick!). Contact Jerry.

CONSTRUCTION OF GARDEN PATH
The garden is in need of a well-marked path to protect the plants, keep the soil from becoming compacted, and ensure even-footing for gardeners. We need materials that will not easily wash away and assistance with laying them out in the garden. Contact Paul.

waterbarrels.jpg BARRELS FOR WATER COLLECTION
For over a year we have been collecting rain water from the roof of the Ben Arnold Center for watering the Rosewood Community Garden. To improve this system in preparation for another summer of drought, we need pick up of 3-9 additional barrels from Pepsi Co. to be refitted. Contact Karlann.

CONSTRUCTION OF WOODEN PLATFORM
To improve water pressure in our rain barrel system, it would help to have a sturdy wooden platform to put barrels on. Contact Jason.

CARDBOARD

Pick up and deliver large pieces of cardboard from behind the appliance store on Garner's Ferry Rd. (next to Good Will). With mulch on top, it keeps out weeds and keeps in water.

CHILDREN'S SUMMER WORKSHOP SERIES 2009
Carolina Peace Common Ground will be seeking volunteers to collaboratively lead its FOURTH ANNUAL summer workshop series for young growers at the Boy's and Girls' Club, Ben Arnold Unit.
