Last fall, Thomas and Angie Drake of Aiken, SC traveled to Ghana for two weeks.  The first week was spent largely exploring the history of the Slave Trade in Ghana as well as enjoying the wonderful culture and people of Ghana.  The second week was spent at an eco-tourism lodge on a fairly remote stretch of beach in Western Ghana, which offered its own unique experiences living in a traditional hut without electricity.  Traveling in Ghana during the two weeks leading up to their Presidential election also added a unique perspective to the trip.  Thomas and Angie have already begun planning a return visit as well as finding ways to give back to some of the areas visited.  Please join us April 8th at 7:30pm at the Green Quad for the Drakes' presentation on their experiences in Ghana.
