The Panel
We have confirmed three speakers for the Accountability Panel. The Panel will take place April 15th in Gambrell room 153 from 6:00-7:15 There will be refreshments after the event. The panelists are: Gregory B. Adams Law Adams studied and researched Professional Responsibility, Advanced Legal Profession, and Judicial Ethics. He is also the founding director of the Program on Judicial Ethics, Selection, Accountability and Independence. Dr. Anu Chakravarty Political Science Dr. Chakravarty has conducted 18 months of prison and community-based surveys in Rwanda and focuses in research on genocide studies, human rights, nationalism, social movements, and contentious politics broadly defined. Dr. Kirk Randazzo Political Science Dr. Randazzo has extensively studied political law both domestically and internationally, focusing on issues such as the collision of liberty and security. Buzz Event We will be holding a buzz event on Greene Street Monday, April 13 from 10:30 AM until 2:00 PM. We will dress in orange jumpsuits with a black bag over our heads and our hands bound behind our backs to provide a visual of how some individuals were treated during the War on Terror. We will be playing music, and have a banner with information about the upcoming panel. We will have our peers add their hand prints and signatures to the banner in support of removing legal or practical obstacles to criminal responsibility.
We need as many volunteers as possible to wear jumpsuits! If you have a friend who may want to dress up on Greene Street, send them our way! We'll have baked goods!
