The nuclear industry is still trying to promote socialism for corporations while the public assumes both financial risks, health risks, and environmental risks. Take the time to oppose the attempt to get their hands in our purses. Go to the NIRS site listed below.
From the NIRS site:
The US Senate approved two controversial amendments to the Resolution authorizing President Obama's FY 2010 budget. Both were offered by Sen. Crapo (R-Idaho); one would make it easier for the Congress to provide $50 Billion in additional taxpayer loan guarantees for construction of new nuclear reactors, the other would encourage taxpayer funding of new reprocessing facilities. These amendments can be deleted by the House-Senate conference committee. Please sign your organization on to the letter below; we will hand deliver it to the relevant Representatives on Tuesday, April 21. Let's create a big stir and stop these amendments!
