"Inherited economic power is as inconsistent with the ideals of this
generation as inherited political power was inconsistent with the
ideals of the generation which established our government."

Marchers challenge the administration to justify an immoral war during the Washington, DC, Peace Rally.
Military Families Speak Out and Carolina Peace Resource Center wants to keep the momentum developed at the Washington DC Peace Rally. The Fort Jackson Peace Vigils are on again! Every Saturday, a peaceful vigil will be held near the Thurmond Blvd. Ft. Jackson Gate. Volunteers are needed with or without signs. Appropriate signs (repetitive messages, please -- traffic passes quickly) include: Bring Them Home Now, End the Occupation, and Military Families Speak Out/mfso.org. Help the momentum of peacemaking grow for ALL affected families.
Parking is at the Forest Drive Walmart parking lot, in the area left of McDonalds, across from the Shopping Strip with Radio Shack and Dollar Store. At 11am, we walk from the parking lot, across the overpass, to just this side of the "End State Maintenance" sign. Please be there for any part of 11am to 1pm. Be There and Bring Them Home! There have been numerous previous vigils at this site, which were well received by soldiers and much traffic entering and exiting the fort. Bring Water. Questions or Info, phone 803-253-6374. BRING THEM HOME NOW !!! |
