MARCH ON WASHINGTON
On Saturday Jan. 27th, people form every corner of the country will march on Washington, D.C. Our message for the new Congress will be loud and clear: End the war in Iraq, Bring all the troops home now! Sponsoring organization: United for Peace and Justice www.unitedforpeace.org
The Carolina Peace Resource Center is providing a bus to ride overnight from Columbia, SC to the march, departing evening FRI Jan 26th, returning SUN Jan 28th, early am. A limited number of event scholarships will be available for those with need.

Departure: Lady Street Parking Lot at Lady and Assembly
Bus Loading: Starts 10:00 PM
Waiting List Participants Given Empty Seats: 10:45pm

On October 19, the Department of Energy released a Notice of Intent to prepare a programmatic environmental impact statement for “Complex 2030,” a multibillion-dollar program that would reorganize and consolidate nuclear weapons production facilities and build a major hydrogen bomb factory.
