Tuesday is National Call in Day on Colombia. One of the primary organizers of this day of action is former CPRC Director Amanda Martin, who presently works for Witness for Peace in Bogota, Colombia. This day of action coincides with Secretary of State Rice's visit to Colombia. Call Lindsey Graham, Jim DeMint and you House Member (most likely Jim Clyburn or Joe Wilson) and let them know that more weapons, more coca fumigation and more violence is not the way to solve the conflict in Colombia. Instead of weapons and deadly chemicals, America should be support the people of Colombia with resources to help the poorest in that country achieve their basic needs. To reach your member of Congress, call the Congressional Switchboard at 202-224-3121. A scrip to help you with the call and more information can be found at in the article inside.
