Ever want to see what all the fuss was about? Take a tour of the nuclear facilities housed at the Savannah River site. Look behind the dark veil and see why it's still important to fight against nuclear weapons. The tour will take from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Peace Pilgrimage: SRS to Oak Ridge PDF Print E-mail

Members of Charleston Peace will be going to the Savannah River Site in SC and to Oak Ridge, TN, for events to mark the 60th anniversary of the advent of nuclear weapons. We'll be starting out at the Savannah River Site on Sat., July 16. After a gathering at the gates of SRS that morning, we will be joining the walk for the first two days as it heads toward Oak Ridge, TN. We will also be going to Oak Ridge on Saturday, August 6, for a mass demonstration against nuclear weapons production on the 60th anniversary of the Hiroshima bombing.
