The event will be a fundraiser and consciousness raiser about military recruiting, the economic draft that provides a stream of soldiers, and militarism in our society.

This year is the 61st anniversary of the bombingof Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan.  An interfaith prayer vigil will be held from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Sunday, August 6, 2006, at Rutledge Chapel on the University of South Carolina Horseshoe in Columbia, SC.  People of all beliefs, races, and nationalities are invited to join together in remembrance of all victims of nuclear weapons.

Saturday, August 5: Peace March, Rally and Action at the last full-scale operating nuclear weapons production plant in the United States.

Sunday, August 6: Remembrance and Hope 61st commemoration of Hiroshima at the plant which produced the enriched uranium for the Little Boy Bomb.
