Ecovillage Expert to Speak at USC Green Quad March 6th and 7th |

Liz Walker, a nationally recognized authority on "ecovillages"--communities striving for social, economic and environmental sustainability--will be speaking at the USC's Green (West) Quad Learning Center on Tuesday, March 6th, at 7:30 p.m., and again on March 7th at 7:30 p.m.

Walker is co-founder and executive director of Ecovillage at Ithaca (New York), www.ecovillage.ithaca.ny.us, and she will be speaking on “The Evolution of an Ecovillage: What We've Learned and How We're Changing the World." The Learning Center is at the corner of Wheat and Sumter Streets, and the event is free and open to the public.

Well here it is in graphic simplicity:
the International Atomic Energy Agency's newly adopted
cross-cultural symbol for radiation hazards. I suggest that it be
immediately and widely disseminated for the contemplation of those who
have not yet gotten the message: ionizing radiation in heavy dose (to
body or individual cell) causes cancer, genetic illness, birth defects,
suppressed immune systems, and a host of illnesses (and death) in both
humans and among our less articulate brethren in the biosphere. So
run. er, So run..if you can.
