Mar. 25: Vigil to Remember 4000 US Dead PDF Print E-mail

A silent vigil to remember the 4,000 U.S. Soldiers having been killed as of yesterday since the Iraq War began, and protest to call for the end of the war, to bring troops home, and to provide the care that is not being provided will be held tomorrow, Tuesday, March 25, at 5:30pm. Please join us in this action which will be held on the sidewalk at Garners Ferry Rd directly across from the Dorn V A Hospital. For information you may phone 253-6374 or 348-0911. Thank you for remembering our troops, their deaths, suicides, loss of lives, limbs, the mental harms, their families, and Iraqi families. The sixth year of the war began last week.

ACTIONS IN DC ON THE 5TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE IRAQ WAR

Yesterday, 5th anniversary protest actions were overlapping, multiple protests, blocking of streets intersections, stops in front of multiple agencies near the mall i.e., again the National Archives, then IRS, Justice Dept.  Started the anniversary protest Wednesday at 8am at an intersection at McPherson Sq. with mainly SDS but also other groups.  They had taken over the intersection and had Many people there stopping traffic and still were when I left to meet IVAW (Iraq Veterans Against the War) and Vets for Peace to rally and march at 10 AM.
