It has been two years since Hurricane Katrina and we are still involved in bringing people home to the Ninth Ward. Thousands of Common Ground Relief volunteers have gutted thousands of homes and we now stand at the threshold of the rebuilding process. We urgently need skilled labor - plumbers, electricians, carpenters,
painters and drywall hangers.

Many people have answered the call and we can no longer house
volunteers for the week of December 15 through December 21. All other
dates are still open; however, please reserve your spot right away. To

We are now headquartered in the lower Ninth Ward several blocks from
where the levee broke. Our home rebuilding program has started. Our
Legal Clinic is helping homeowners secure the monies they need to
rebuild.

We are also engaged in wetlands restoration projects in the storm ravaged
bayous and parks throughout the city and we are expanding our
bio-remediation program to include home sites in the Ninth Ward.
