  • EIS stands for Environmental Impact Statement. The preparation of an EIS is one of the steps required by the National Environmental Policy Act.
  • NNSA is the National Nuclear Security Administration.(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NNSA)
  • SRS is Savannah River Site
  • NAC is the Governor's Nuclear Advisory Council
  • Bombplex is a term coined by groups around the nation opposing Complex2030. Complex 2030 is a program by the current administration to build a bomb production complex to produce new nuclear weapons. Congress cut funds recently for Complex2030 and asked the administration to provide a rational for building new nuclear weapons. The steps required to satisfy the NEPA requirements (see National Environmental Policy Act) continues.
