EIS stands for Environmental Impact Statement. The preparation of an EIS is one of the steps required by the National Environmental Policy Act.

SRS is Savannah River Site
NAC is the Governor's Nuclear Advisory Council
Bombplex is a term coined by groups around the nation opposing Complex2030. Complex 2030 is a program by the current administration to build a bomb production complex to produce new nuclear weapons. Congress cut funds recently for Complex2030 and asked the administration to provide a rational for building new nuclear weapons. The steps required to satisfy the NEPA requirements (see National Environmental Policy Act) continues.
