How many miles per hour does the average car actually travel, when you take into account the time spent waiting in traffic, waiting at stoplights, the hours spent working to pay for gasoline, oil changes, car insurance, and tune-ups? Assuming the average person spends 1.5 hours in their car each day, earning $10 an hour for their work. The average car in the USA travels TEN miles per hour!
