Ever want to see what all the fuss was about? Take a tour of the nuclear facilities housed at the Savannah River site. Look behind the dark veil and see why it's still important to fight against nuclear weapons. The tour will take from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. No cameras, but Geiger counters are welcome.

Deadline to submit personal info for background check is this Friday, July 1. Laurie Posey, Westinghouse Savannah River public relations, will submit a list to DOE at noon on Tuesday, July 5, and that is the absolute cut-off. Only U.S. citizens will be permitted to attend the tour at this point.

Aiken at 5:30 July 11. Here is the notice:



CAB Nuclear Materials Management Support Public Involvement:

The next meeting of the NM Committee is planned for Monday, July 11, 5:30

p.m., at the Aiken Municipal Conference Center. The topics for discussion

are: the Proposal for a Limited Pu238 Mission and the Status of NM

Recommendations. A public comment period will be provided.
