The Peacewalk has begun!  Lead by Brother Utsumi and Sister Denise of the Buddhist Nipponzan Myohoji order, Atlanta Dojo, it will arrive in Oak Ridge, Tennessee,  for a massive rally on Hiroshima Day, Aug. 6th.

Below is a schedule of the Peacewalk Kickoff Weekend events, an itinerary for the Peace Pilgrimage and contact information for both. We hope you will be a part of our journey.



Schedule for 2005 Peace Pilgrimage

July 17 through 22
Aiken to Greenville, SC, walking Highway 25, heading north. We will be passing through Trenton, Kirksey, Greenwood, Cokesbury, Princeton and Woodville.

July 24 through 27
Greenville, SC to Asheville, NC, continuing on Highway 25 North. Towns and places include North Greenville College in South Carolina and Tuxedo, Flat Rock, Hendersonville, Mtn. Home, Fletcher and Skyland in North Carolina.

July 28 through 31
Asheville, NC to Newport, TN, continuing on Highway 25/70. Towns include Weaverville, Jupiter, Marshall, Walnut and Hot Springs in North Carolina and Del Rio in Tennesse.

August 2 through 5
Newport to Knoxville, TN, following Highway 25W/70. Towns include Dandridge, Piedmont and Strawberry Plains.
