From the State Capitol building, Gervais and Main Streets:  turn east (away from the river) on to Gervais, traveling about a mile and a half, pass under a railroad overpass and turn right (south) on to Harden Street.  Go to third traffic light, past the construction, and turn left (east) on to Devine Street.  Turn left again on to Heidt St.  Martin Luther King Park is straight ahead.

From I-26: take the Columbia/Lexington/Hwy. 1 exit; turn east toward Columbia; Hwy 1 becomes Meeting Street after about 5 miles; Meeting Street becomes Gervais Street after crossing the Broad River bridge; go about a mile to the State Capitol building on the right at Main and Gervais Streets; continue east about a mile and a half, passing under a railroad underpass, then turn right at the next traffic light onto Harden Street; go to 3rd traffic light and turn left (east) on to Devine Street; turn left on to Heidt Street; Martin Luther King Park is straight ahead.

From I-20:  take the Columbia/Lexington/Hwy.1 exit; turn east toward Columbia; Hwy. 1 becomes Meeting Street after about 8 miles; (directions continue the same as from I-26).
