There is a need in the southeast for GI rights counselors. Counselors advise active duty personnel on different choices of conscience and how they apply to their individual situations. This includes but is not restricted to Conscientious Objection and the Dont Ask Dont tell current policies, Evidence such as the number of GI's going AWOL suggest this is or has become as critical need as it was during the Viet Nam War.The training will involve a commitment of two days accuring at different times. Providing moral support for others in difficult times is as rewarding a service oppurtunity that I have experienced. Please contact me if you have questions or are interested. This counseling would also apply to those In the Delayed Enlistment status and with ROTC commitments and can be a resource for anyone considering the military.
