The 2006 Southeast Social Forum is an historic event bringing together communities from across Appalachia and the Southeast to build a movement for racial and economic justice!

The NC Peace & Justice Coalition is a proud co-sponsor of this exciting event, taking place from Friday June 16 to Sunday June 18 at NC Central University in Durham. The social forum will enable 500 or more activists from across the south to analyze, strategize and build movements around the aftermath of the Gulf Coast hurricanes, the fight for immigrant rights and the impact of violence at home and abroad. Info at www.sesf2006.org. This gathering will generate ideas in preparation for the first ever US Social Forum in Atlanta in 2007.

NC Peace & Justice is helping to organize a team of 50+ volunteers, needed to support this important movement-building work. They'd love to have you onboard!
