Each participant should bring 4-5 copies of an excerpt (no more than one typed page) from a piece of writing (or concept for writing) to be developed further; authors should have writing goals, as well as a target audience in mind, in order to gain insights from other group members about their response as readers, possible avenues for development of the piece, and how best to address their audience. Authors might consider publication in Waging Peace, the CPRC's newsletter, or other progressive magazines. Essays, journal entries, reflections, musings, letters-to-editors, or other non-fiction work focused on peace and justice issues are welcome. Although poetry and fiction will not be the target for this series, they might be the focus of a future series if there is sufficient response. All members of the peace and justice community are welcome to attend, but participants are asked to commit to attending the entire series (five months).
