From ACORN: South Carolina Acorn will hold a Minimum Wage Increase Rally in front of Senator Lindsey Olin Graham's (Liberal Republican) Office on Thursday, January 18, 2007. We're working quit well with University of South Carolina and South Carolina Fair Share. Pastor Tom Wall, a minister from the University of South Carolina supported our cause by leading us in the Pray Vigil to get Wal-Mart to change. Several students from University of South Carolina also supports our efforts for the rights of the working poor. We're hoping to form a relationship with the Midlands Chapter, ACLU of South Carolina and Carolina Peace. Regarding our Free Tax Site, ACORN will pay their tax preparer $9.00/hour, minimum of 20 hours per week. There will be an all day training session (9:00 - 4:00 p.m.) with the Columbia Internal Revenue Representative from the VITA Coalition. Thank you for all your support. Add your comment
