The Green Action Film Series continues with the premiere of Down The Ballot, a new documentary by Betsy Newman and Jason Craig (our new administrative assistant). The Green (West) Quad Learning Center is hosting a reception for the filmmakers at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 25th. At 9:00 p.m. we will watch the ETV broadcast of the documentary (as the Premiere Episode of Carolina Stories), followed by a discussion with the filmmakers. The film follows the 2006 race for South Carolina Commissioner of Agriculture, following both candidates throughout the state as they attempt to bring attention to this obscure "Down Ballot" office as well as to raise important issues associated with the position: the food we eat and the energy we consume. The Green Quad Learning Center is a one-story building in the middle of the Green (West) Quad (building D). The Quad is located south of Wheat Street, between Main and Sumter. There is a walkway through the middle of the Quad, running between Main & Sumter, and the entrance to the Learning Center is off that walkway. Come out and share some food and lively discussion with the filmmakers. For questions call Jason Craig - 777-1994 Add your comment
