The Nickelodeon Theatre is excited to announce the launch of a new film series, THE NICKS AFTERNOON SNEAK PEEKS. From time to time we are given the opportunity to host screenings of cutting edge films before they are given nationwide distribution. These opportunities often pop up with very short notice meaning that we dont have enough advanced notice to include them in our bi-monthly calendars. These films are frequently playing in very limited release before moving on to greater distribution or airings on HBO and other networks. The first film in this series, "The Ghosts of Abu Ghraib", brought us a chilling look into the notorious Iraqi prison in a three day run at the Nickelodeon in February. This month we will be bringing two films "To Die in Jerusalem", a documentary which explores the Israeli/Palestinian conflict through two families dealing with grief, and, as part of Asian Arts Week, "White Light/Black Rain: The Destruction of Hiroshima and Nagasaki", which stunned audiences at this year's Sundance Film Festival with its hard-hitting footage. To Die in Jerusalem screenings: Tuesday, March 13 @ 1:00 and 3:00 Wednesday, March 14 @ noon and 1:30 Thursday, March 15 @ 1:00 and 3:00 White Light/Black Rain: The Destruction of Hiroshima and Nagasaki screenings: Tuesday, March 27 @ 1:00 and 3:00 Wednesday, March 28 @ noon and 1:30 Thursday, March 29 @ 1:00 and 3:00 White Light/Black Rain is part of the Asian Arts Week at USC Add your comment
