Enough is Enough!  Free Bus to DC Rally for Workers May 17

On May 17, thousands of workers will rally on the National Mall to say "Enough is Enough" to the federal government's all-talk, no-action policies that place profits ahead of safety and security, and corporate needs ahead of workers.
To reserve a seat on the bus, call the SC AFL-CIO at 803-798-8300. The day-long rally will begin at 10 AM on the National Mall,. where more than 10,000 are expected to attend. For information, maps and a list of speakers, see www.17may07.org.
A bus sponsored by ILA 1422 will leave from their union hall in Charleston at 2:30 AM on May 17. A stop to pick up riders will be made at the Love gas station (I-26 and 301) in Orangeburg at 3:30 AM. It will go on to pick up folks in Columbia at 4:30 AM at CWA Local 3706, 566 Chris Dr. It is expected that the bus will return by midnight that same day. There is no charge but pack a lunch. Some snacks and drinks will be provided. The bus will stop for dinner on the way back.
The rally is sponsored by the International Association of Machinists and supported by the ILA and the SC AFL-CIO.
