Photographer Skip Schiel shows a slideshow on his experience in Gaza, focusing on conditions at the central Shifa hospital in Gaza City, the availability of water, the impact of international sanctions following the Hamas election in 2006, and other circumstances leading to the current crisis in Gaza. Mr. Schiel is a participant-photographer who participates in social justice movements while documenting them in photography. His current project is documenting conditions in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict; he will return to Palestine/Israel for the fourth time this fall.
