The United States Supreme Court on Monday ordered a new hearing for death row inmate Troy Davis, whose supporters say [he] is innocent and should be spared from execution for killing a police officer 20 years ago.

 Troy Davis' execution, which was scheduled for this Monday, October 27, has been halted, so that attorneys can file a law suit based on the claim that he is innocent of the murder for which he was sentenced to death.

MattPaul150.gifThree of us spent four days, from June 29th until July 2nd, at the 15th Annual Fast and Vigil to Abolish the Death Penalty. We helped maintain a constant presence in front of the United States Supreme Court in Washington, D.C. Using signs, conversations and brochures, we educated thousands of tourists about the injustice of the death penalty.
