The children of El Tesoro gather around as we arrive after a hot 3 hour hike through the jungle. A community of 30 families returned here, to their original land, on October 2, 2006. Simple wooden shacks in a cleared field on the banks of the Curvarado river. This is a Humanitarian Zone that was threatened most recently on Feb. 12, 2007 by the "Aguilas Negras", re-mobilized paramilitary group.
