SAY NO TO AN ATTACK ON IRAN!

Senator Lindsey Graham has sponsored Senate Resolution 380 which would pave the way for military intervention in Iran. Senator DeMint, to his credit, is not one of the co-sponsors of the measure: let's keep it that way.

Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) has introduced a resolution in the US Senate  calling for ruling out “containment” as a response to Iran developing a nuclear weapon. The bipartisan resolution has 44Senator co-sponsors. The Graham resolution would pave the way for escalation and US or Israeli military intervention with Iran. In Graham’s own words: “All options must remain on the table when it comes to stopping Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.” The resolution is supported by powerful AIPAC (America Israel Public Affairs Committee) lobby.

While a nuclear armed Iran is undesirable, containment would be a rational response if it came to that.  Israel, with its  robust nuclear deterrent, would not truly be threatened by Iran, while Gulf  states (Saudi Arabia, etc.) have a strong US presence in the region to deter any attack.  The military option is off the table,  Sen. Graham: a US or Israeli attack on Iran is not in our our country’s interest.  Now, if you want to continue selling our nation’s foreign policy to a foreign government’s proxy lobby, there’s a choice word or two that describes that.
