Featuring Internationally & Nationally Known Speakers Including:

Dr.Jeff Halper  Coordinator of the Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions, Dr. Halper is an Israeli-American peaceactivist, professor of anthropology, author, acclaimed speaker, and Nobel Peace Prize nominee.

Ambassador Afif Safieh Palestinian Representative the US and former representative to the UK and Vatican. Mr. Safieh was instrumental in peace talks that began the Oslo peace process.

Sami Awad Executive Director of Holy Land Trust in Bethlehem and a leading Palestinian advocate for nonviolence.  His organization offers programming on nonviolence, democracy and trauma-reduction.

Dr. Don Wagner  Reverend Wagner is professor and director of the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at North Park, University of Chicago.  A scholar on Christian Zionism, he is a member of Friend’s of Sabeel - North America's board.

Cedar Duaibis Founding member of Sabeel and a member of its executive committee, a retired school teacher who spent her life supporting he husband’s ministry as an Episcopal clergyman in the Diocese of Jerusalem in Israel & the Palestinian Territories.

Dr. Phyllis Bennis  A fellow at the Institute for Policy Studies, Dr. Bennis is a frequent commentator on US foreign policy in the Middle Eastand the author of a primer on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Mazin Qumsiyeh  Dr. Qumsiyeh is a Palestinian Christian who has taught at Duke and Yale. A long-time write & activist, Qumsiyeh’s latest book is Sharing the Land of Canaan: Human Rights and the Israeli-Palestinian Struggle.

Donna Hicks Coordinator of the Peace Initiatives Network of the Episcopal Diocese of NC and convener of the Episcopal Peace Fellowship’s Middle East Interest Group, Hicks has traveled to Palestine/Israel 5 times since 1991, serving with Christian Peacemaker Teams-Hebron.

Alison Weir American freelancej ournalist, Allison Weir is founder of If Americans Knew.  She has traveled independently through-out the West Bank & Gaza Strip and found the situation largely to be the reverse of what was being reported in the American media.

Naji Ali  The son of activists, Ali and his father faced imprisonment and torture under Apartheid in South Africa. He spent 3 years inPalestine where he was attacked by militant settlers.  An independent journalist today, he will present “Crossing the Line: AnAfrican-American in Palestine.”

Tom Stern & Tema Okun Active in ICAHD’s Constructing Peace Campaign, Stern & Okun will discuss their experiences in the West Bankas American Jews.

Ellen O’Grady Artist and social justice activist from Durham, NC and the author of Outside the Ark, O’Grady,spent six years living in Palestine and Israel and has returned several times to work with several grassroots activist groups.
