Complex 2030 (a.k.a. the Bombplex) is a massive overhaul of the U.S. nuclear weapons complex. The goal is to continuously produce new nuclear weapons, with the socalled Reliable Replacement Warheads being the first off the line. It is being sold by the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) as a smaller, more efficient, more modern, safer nuclear weapons complex than the current one.

But the facts tell a different story: All of the existing nuclear weapons sites would still be in operation and the fundamental environmental problems of weapons production remain unsolved. The increased design and production capabilities of the Bombplex could spark a new nuclear arms race.

For more information see:

Alliance for Nuclear Accountability (ANA) (of which CPRC is a member) has many documents expaining the bombplex, including the following:

Bombplex Fact Sheet that gives a summary of the issues related to the bomb complex.

Comment Postcard A postcard that can be printed on postcard stock and mailed to the NNSA.

The National Environmental Policy Act Process (NEPA) The bombplex hearings and the public comment process are part of the process required by NEPA. This document explains the process.

Other documents at ANA include talking points, helps on preparing comments, drafts of press releases, and numerous other resources.
